Can
you believe it’s been a year since the last official Lu-gats release?I’ve recreated many of the entries
that were lost in the laptop theft but still have some addresses to fill
in.I just got cable modem
installed and have plans to host Lu-gats from my home server.It shouldn’t be that difficult but
I’m sure there will still be some inevitable technical challenges.Lu-gats 2002 will be the official
next release with a completely revamped interface.Stay tuned…

2001 Update:
Lu-gats has a new home!It’s now
hosted by domaindlx.com.The
easy way to remember getting here is www.lu-gats.com.The reason I chose this host is that
they provide ASP and MS Access database access.At some point, I will ditch the Excel spreadsheet format
in favor of a web-based interface with your inputs (I can dream…).I have not had a chance yet to update
Lu-gats with all the latest and greatest data.But stay tuned…In the meantime, the version you can access is: Lu-gats 2000.Q3.Thanks again for your patience and
support.

2001 Update:
Lu-gats had a major setback recently when my laptop and all its contents were
stolen from my rental car. Lu-gats 2001 was ready for release with over 1,500
restaurants but I didn’t get the chance to upload it to the site.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the last 5 months of restaurant data backed up.
I had also been working on a web-based version of Lu-gats which is also now
gone =( At the end of March, homepage.com which is currently hosting Lu-gats,
will terminate its services. But don’t worry since I’ll find a new provider
and you can always reach the latest reviews at www.lu-gats.com. Thank you for your
patience as I rebuild the stolen database.
P.S. If you’re the one who stole my bag and found the Lu-gats business cards
and are now checking out the site, send me the restaurant business cards that
are useless to you but could never be replaced by me. While you’re at it,
toss in the passport and unused film. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the wad of
cash and selling the laptop on the black market you moral-less piece of crap!

restaurants rated through the 3rd Quarter of 2000.
Lu-gats
is now interactive! Be a Guest Critic and
rate a restaurant that you have recently dined at. In addition, interact with
other Lu-gats readers in the Message Forum where
you can Post and Answer questions about Restaurants in your region. Either
one of these new features will give you a chance to let your voice be heard!

ratings are updated Quarterly so check back here often for the latest
restaurant reviews. Please provide feedback to me at howard@lu-gats.comand let me know of any comments, suggestions, usability
issues and ratings discrepancies that you may have. Lu-gats is a living guide
